It’s been a rough week all around. We have been stuck inside because of rainy weather, eLearning and of course social distancing (which is recommended for EVERYONE).

So, most of our lives have changed—some more drastically than others. However, I feel like we are all in a state of flux.

I see so much about people coming together to help others—delivering groceries and medications, checking on elderly neighbors, etc…And I think that is AWESOME and we should all be doing what we can.

I feel a little at a loss for what to do. If it were just me, I’d be participating in those things. But as a mother and wife, I don’t feel like I have that luxury.

So, what can I do?

We all need some sort of social interaction. We are social beings-regardless of whether you identify as an introvert or extrovert. And I think we need some time away from the CONSTANT updates and talk about Covid-19. I can drive you batty if you let it.

I need an hour (or more) to chat with our friends (new and old) and talking about your day: the roses (good things happenings); the buds (things on the horizon); and the thorns (frustrations/huddles). And that hour needs to be with adults—not my husband cause frankly I’m tired of talking to him. 🙂
I want an hour of ‘normalcy’ and to talk about movies, or crafts, or that funny t-shirt you saw online…

That is why I propose a virtual meet-up. I’m calling it Chin Chin or Cin Cin in honor of our Italian neighbors (across the great big pond in some of our cases) who have been quarantined and being hit hard by Covid-19. Here in the US we are just getting started down that same road.

So, Twitter Party tomorrow evening. I’ve never had one, but I’ve participated on a couple. But it can’t be that had, a bunch of people online chatting about what’s going life (with a moratorium on Covid-19).

So, grab a glass of wine/a mug of beer/a glass of water-whatever suites you’re fancy and let’s just interact like the kind people I know we all are.
